Headed to the Cherokee National Forest this past weekend to do some fly-fishing in my favorite tail waters and the fishing was incredible. Early morning and after pulses from the dam, the trout were midging aggressively and presenting size 20 gnat patterns was very effective. Around 8am, these beautiful Sulpurs as seen in the pictures were coming off the waters shortly followed by caddis and some isonychia's. Overall, for the two days brought in excess of 80 fish to hand and lost countless others. My two best fish was this 17" brown trout that took a caddis dry and the 15" rainbow that took a zebra midge.
