Soggy day on the river

Discussion in 'Ohio River Fishing Reports' started by BuckeyeFishinNut, Mar 18, 2008.

  1. Hit the river for about 4 hours this morning. I wanted to get out before the river blew up over 30' after this rain today and tomorrow. I land around 20 sauger and walleye before my hands got too cold and I had to call it a day. Most were small but I had 4 that I would consider keepers. All fish were released to be caught another day. Fish were caught on 1/4 oz jig and 3" twistertail. Might try to get out tomorrow to a high water spot I have, will have to keep my eye on the river gauge over night.

Great job! What area of the river were you fishing? I was thinking of hitting one of the dams in the next week or two, didn't know whether to hit the Ohio or the Musk....

  3. I was fishing a few miles south of Pike Island dam.
