I want to purchase or make some small 1/4oz Chatterbait jigs. Everywhere I look, the only thing I see is the Zman Mini, but I've seen too many reviews where folks complain about the hooks breaking off of Zman jigs, and I've had that problem with the Zman ned head jigs. Does anyone have any recommendations for small chatterbait jigs? I thought about making some myself, but can't find small stainless steel chatterbait blades. Again, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've been using the 1/16 & 1/8 oz. Z-man chatterbaits quite a bit the last 2 years. I've had no hook failures using braid on my UL & ML action rods. I use a 'sweeping' style hookset... just like I'm fishing my glass crankbait rod. I don't own any of the 1/4 oz versions but my 3/8 oz. & 1/2 oz. model with the oversize blade work very well also. Mike, maybe the problem I was having with the ned rig jigs was that they seem to be made of thin wire that bends very easily. Are the Zman chatterbaits using a different style of hook?
