Simple little 15' fiberglass fishing boat we use only for perch fishing needs an inexpensive fish finder. Which one would you recommend for finding schools of perch. (Just for those days when we can't "head for the pack of boats")

  2. I bought a inexpensive fish finder and wish I would have bought a better one.The inexpensive ones don,t have many watts so they won't show the perch when they are tight to the bottom. My buddy bought a EAGLE FISHMARK 500 cost about $350 works great. I plan on buying one soon. I wouldn't waste money on a cheaper one you get what you pay for.

A unit with a zoom feature helps greatly when looking for perch. When I first bought my lowrance, I played with it while we were catching perch at a pretty good clip. Got a good visual of what the little guys looked like on my finder.
