Skeg repair

Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by Jim Barger Sr, Feb 7, 2008.

  1. I have a Mercury 100hp Model 1100 with a chewed up skeg. Any advice on how to repair or replace?
    Thanks

  3. That beats the alternative of taking the gearcase off and sending it out to have the old skeg cut off and a new one welded on. More $$$$

    Agree with K gone!
Skeg guard is the way to go and will be cheaper than a repair.

  5. Yep, skeg guard would probably save you time and money, and get you back on the water alot quicker too!:B

  6. Thanks guys, that skeg guard will do the trick
