Anyone have any info on Silver Creek Park. I'm headed there for a picnic on Sat. and I am wondering what the fishing is like there. I plan on fishing as well as helping my two nephews and a couple of their friends. Just catch photo and release fun for the kids. I'm just not familiar with the place and don't know what we should go after. Bass? Gills? etc.?

    Thanks,

    Jim

  2. FlyFisher,

You may want to try for rainbow trout. ODNR stocked 3700 of them this spring (March, I believe?) in Silver Creek. As I recall, the Beacon Journal article said that they ranged from 9-12" at that time.

    PartTimeBasser, Joe01,

Thanks! Now I have a plan of attack...I think I'll start the kids out with small inline spinners and see if that will produce a Trout or a Bass. If that doesn't pan out I'll try to put a Catfish on the end of they're line.

    Thanks again,

    Jim
