I could never find the famous Texas-style dark lager, Shinerbock, north of the mason-dixon until now!! I had one at a local City Barbecue restaurant and the staff told me that you can now find them in town at beverage stores and distributors! If any of you guys and gals are Shinerbock fans and have found it in Columbus, please let me know!!

hmmmm... i know anderson's has a great wine selection, but I hadn't thought of looking there for Shinerbock. Maybe i'll give it a try.

the shinerbock is around in stores I've seen it...just can't remember which ones. The andersons (over near sawmill, on federated I believe) more than likely has it (I fairly certain I saw it there - put the odds at 90%).
  7. Hey when I live up on campus there was a little carry out on King ave just east of Neil that had the best selection around. I knew a girl that lived in those apartment at the north east corner of King and Neil and I rember the carry out was just behind the apartment and I think on the south side of King.

    Most likely at:

    Around Campus:
    Andys Carryout
    Viking Carryout on King Ave.
    Gentiles on King Ave.
    Palmers Carryout on Indianola.
Maybe at Pace-Hi on High St.

    Also look at:
Kenny Road Market - on Kenny between Bethel and Henderson
Andersons on Sawmill Rd. (definitely has it)

Had it on tap 2 weeks ago at:
    Winking Lizard at Crosswoods.

I know it's big down south, especially in Texas. I think it is more of a regional hyped-up beer than a really good beer. Like Coors in the 70s or even New Belgiums Fat Tire in the late 90s/early 00s....Just my opinion.

For some really good beers, check out:
From The Vine - Polaris and Old State St. (on the way to Alum for me)
    Andersons on Sawmill
    Kenny Road Market
Viking (however, they tend to let a lot of old stuff sit on their shelves)

    mmmm. beer.

The distibutor for it here in cleveland and the rest of the state for that matter is gonna be pushing it pretty hard over the next few months. I am carrying the bock at my restaurant (806 Wine & Martini Bar) as well as their wheat beer. Damn good beer.

  10. the dunkle

the dunkle Juicy Jay every day

they sell it at the beveridge drive thru on east main just before nelson rd
