Checked my trailcams this morning, several bucks I've been watching all season were on it this past week still had their antlers. Walked my woods and came up empty handed. Guess I'll check next week again

50% or more of the bucks around here have dropped. I usually wait until March to start hunting. I did find a carcass today of a wounded shed buck that had been hanging around. I was hoping that he would make it, but he didn’t.

I'm going to look tomorrow. A lot of times during this cold spell no one walking around you can find them before the fair weather searchers

Went out yesterday and checked an area that others have access too. Didn't find any. I like to wait until atleast 3rd weekend of February for anywhere that I have sole access to

My friends had had him on camera during season and had heard he had been badly arrowed by someone on neighboring property

Good deer. Won't be out looking on the main farm till atleast beginning of March. Don't want to take any chance of bumping any of the bucks before they shed

That stinks finding them like that . I found one in late Nov and another in late dec this year that had been gut shot and lost . Both were decent 8 points . Hate seeing them wasted and knowing they didn't have a quick death .

My brother had 3 bucks almost run out in front of him yesterday. All still wearing their headgear.

It always sucks finding them like this. I think about the heartbreak of the hunter as well. None of us want that animal to go out that way.
