Can anybody tell me a place to catch shad or skipjack near Gallopolis?

I live in Urbana and it is tough to make the trip and keep bait fresh (bluegills).

Somewhere closer would be great.

I'm going below the dam hopefully and I'll let you know if they're running. Usually there's some skipjacks or mooneyes around if it's not too high and muddy.
