Setting Monitor Refresh Rate?

    Its been a long time since I've done this.

    I've got a new job at work using a pc that has a monitor flicker that is hurting my eyes and need some help.
    Its an older Dell CRT.

    what operateing system are u useing? if u are useing xp here ya go. control panel,display, settings, then advanced,then click on monitor tab. and u can set it there

    Good question, I'm not sure. How different are the methods?

  5. Right click on my computer and then go to properties. Then you'll see somewhere towards the top what edition of widows you are using.

    On vista it's right click on desktop/personalize/Display Setting/Advance settings/Monitor

    There are quite a few different versions of XP but I believe what Num1fire said will work with every version of xp. I'm running vista right now. Otherwise I would check it for you.

    Thanks for that offer, I got it fixed thru our company's IT pro. It required a whole 'nother approach while logging in. :confused: :p :D
