Seneca 6-23

Discussion in 'Southeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by Shortdrift, Jun 23, 2004.

  1. Fished Seneca with Pipliner today. Ended up with 20 saugeye, 8 channel cats, 15/20 white bass, one bluegill and three shad. A good number of the saugeye were in the 12 to 13 inch range but only one that was 14 inches. :( Didn't keep any saugeye but three of the cats went home with Pipliner. A few cats and the gil came on worm/jig or worm and split shot. The saugeye and some cats came on spoons in nine feet of water off define rocky points. Had a lot of fun even though the fish were small. Shortdrift lost something big that was never close enough to the boat to see and Pipliner lost two large fish the same way. :(

  2. It sounds like you and Pipeliner had a very eventful day, even though the bigger saugeyes didn't cooperate with you. I also heard from Pipeliner that the weather wasn't all that great...sunny, blue skies, and hardly any wind at all.
