  1. So I went to a new spot on the yota last night. The water level was good, seemed low compared to how its been. Tried chubs, warmouths, seeds and some livers for the channels. Had runs all night, felt pressure on hookset, then the GAR let go. My bait was getting cut up by the gar quick, I smashed gills, same problem. So how do you get rid of the gar factor? I heard something crazy, but don't know if it will work.. And it involves catching a gar first. I did end up with a pretty and healthy 4.5# channel. No flats though. Any help on the gar problem would be great.
