Kayak from 4 till 7 tonight. Water was clear as the scioto gets. Temp was 79. Caught 20+ smallies. The large boys were hungry tonight. Caught three over 13.5 inches with the largest being a little over 16 inches. I don't know what these fish are eatting but all of them are fat as hell. The section I was fishing was quiet. Never saw another fisherman. Most fish were caught on a berkley 4" power worm texas rigged. I also caught a 12.5 largemouth and a 4+ pound cat.
No shovelheads just channels. Fished from 3 till 7 tonight with similar results. Big fish are still hungry. Caught numerous small smallies and 4 over 12 inches. Again largest was 16 inches and it could have been the same fish from yesterday. It was close to where I caught the 16 incher yesterday. Also caught 2 largemouth over 14 inches.
Nice! I've been getting the bigger ones in the Olentangy on 3.5" finesse tubes in pumpkin. Figure it's gotta be craws they're on right now if they're hitting that so hard. Don't know about the scioto, I don't get over there much at all.
