Saugers/Walleyes

  1. Needs some help finding were to fish for saugers on the ohio river near Gallipolis.Have a cablin in Wellston that we built 3 years ago and have heard of the strong sauger run on the ohio but don't know were to go.I from Toledo and wanted to mix it up before turkey comes in Thanks for any info,and if I can let anybody know when the walleyes are thick on the maumee river.

    Now for the sauger on the Ohio river in your area. When I was in college down there I was in school with a guy from Gallipolis that took me to the Racine Lock and Dam area and we had a pretty good day catching sauger. It was a Saturday in early March and we caught them on a chartruse jig head with either a white twistertail or a live minnow. Both produced very well. :)
