I'm heading down for a camping weekend with the family and some friends. We'll be at the state park campground. Any suggestions on a spot to try with the kids to catch whatever is active? Will be 4 to 8 kids in the 4-10 age group and it will be a fairly short outing if they aren't catching.

I figure we'd be chasing gills with a couple catfish lines tossed out for good measure. Any bait/technique suggestions?

You can just head down to the campers boat ramp. Should be plenty of shore access there to keep the kids entertained. Also a small beach there, which will likely be where they end up.

Yeah, at the camper's ramp you can fish right off the docks there if you want.
