The only Ross reels I own are old Ross gunnisons. Those are my go to reels for anything 6wt and up. Never thought of a large arbor. But I need a 3wt feel for tiny Brook fishing. This is one nice looking reel.

You’re going to like that on a 3wt. I fish one on my 5wt Scott G2. Very lightweight reel, nice click and pawl sound.

I don’t know that particular reel but large arbors are nice for picking up line quickly, and I also like the aesthetics of them..

It should work well with my Cabela's prime rod.*
Hate to say it, but for trout my favorite rods are the Cabela's primes. Super slow. The only thing slower is bamboo. And I'm not going down that rabbit hole.

*There was a Cabela's prime rod with this reel on eBay recently. It's what made me look into it.
