Had planned on a trip down the LMR today but yesterday's rains took that option away. So we went to Rocky Fork instead. Except for where streams entered the lake the water was clear. In the afternoon even the coves with streams where clear. Fish were hitting off and on, enough to keep it interesting. We caught 2-3 LMB over 12 inches and a number of nice white bass, some approaching 14 inches. About 9:00 my partner hooked a very nice LMB but it broke off before he could get it in the boat. About 2:00 we started catching white bass and LMB about 30-40 feet from the bank. That was when the big one hit. I was using an F11 Rapala Original on a quick retrieve. Using a very light rig with 8 lb line, it took a little while to bring it to the boat. This one was slightly over 21" long and weighed 4 Lb 5 oz. The decision to fish Rocky Fork over the LMR was a good one.
