Rocky and Chagrin 12-16

Discussion in 'Northeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by archman, Dec 16, 2004.

  1. Hit the Rock first thing in the morning, didn't get a hit. There was some ice starting to form, but it was still fishable. Went to the Chagrin, hoping it was better, and it wasn't even fishable. The deeper holes had huge packs of ice in them. I finally found some broken up ice around Todd Field, but really couldn't get a drift going. Looks like I might have to put the steelhead rods up for awhile.

  2. time to sit inside and tie flies and watch the outdoor channel. i think it's done too.

  3. My dad and I got 4 in the Rocky yesterday from 24" to 29". Water temp didn't even register on my stream thermometer (less than 34). That was the first time we fished the Rocky, so we'll probably be back. Water was in good shape with just a little ice on the side in slow areas.
