whole lot of ice , some open water at morley ford. rockliff was locked up. tried to fish a hole north of rockcliff ,but could not fight my way thru 30 feet of i ft thick slush to get to the open hole. the first little dam north of rockclii was open ,but not all parking areas were plowed. almost got stuck at rockcliff. fished a half hour till sunset at morley and not much happening,

Seemed like the upper reaches had more ice. Below the airport wasn't too bad thanks to all the de-icer they're using. Hiked through all that snow, had a nice spot to myself, 'cause nobody else could park where I did. . Water looked prime, I got nuttin.

Ah, cool. I just recognized the name of a spot on the rocky, rock cliff (and that little dam north of it). That's where I fished my only time ever out steelhead fishing.

I ordered waders. They won't be here for a whole week (!!) and then I have to finish building 'wading shoes'. Hopefully by then it will warm up just a little!
