How's the fishing in the Cuyahoga River along Riverview Rd in Akron, Cuyahoga Falls and Peninsula? I was thinking of trying later this spring and early summer. It seems like there were some good spots for smallies.
  2. There are alot of good holes in the river. It might be a little early for smallies, but there will probably be another run of stealies after today's rain. Fish the concrete thingie in Brecksville.

  3. Upriver from the sewage plant to Merriman, it can be pretty decent for smallmouth. Downriver from the plant until around Szalays the river is kinda dead, although you can catch a ton of suckers-some really huge. I've caught crappie off the bridge there by Szalays. From Szalays to Penninsula it gradually improves and then from Penninsula on downstream it really gets good again. There are some incredibly scenic stretches of river all through the valley that look like they ought to have a ton of fish in them, but that doggone sewage plant tends to really screw it up. Its still fun to try though.
