Revenue Producing Carp

Discussion in 'Central Ohio Fishing Reports' started by Arnton Tiger, Jul 21, 2007.

  1. I have been fishing the Olentangy River a lot lately. The SM fishing has been fun and productive, at least while the trout fishing has slowed down for the summer.

As I spend more and more time on the river, I can't help but wonder how I might be able to capitalize on the large numbers of huge carp that live in the river. With the waters as low as they are, you can't help but find yourself staring at the big fatties as they cruise the pools.

So, I think that I'm going to invest in some of the coin-operated fish food dispensers that you see at tourist spots. You know, the kind that require 50 cents or so to get a handfull of corn or oats or something else that carp like. I figure that I could make a few hundred a month at High Banks alone. I figure, if you can't beat them, feed them.

See you on the river. Don't forget your quarters.
