Hello all,

For anybody in the Columbus area, do y'all have any recommendations on where to take reels for routine upkeep/maintenance work? No repairs needed, just looking for a place that can break down my reels for a "tune up". If anybody has had any especially good experiences at a particular tackle shop, I'd like to hear about your recommendation. R&R and Old Dutchman are closest tackle shops to me so I'd like to hear about positive experiences/thoughts regarding either of these spots.

Thanks in advance and tight lines,
Luke

Yeah I saw they offer reel servicing on their website. I'm just wondering if anybody has had an especially good experience anywhere. Thanks for the heads up though!
I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them on everything I’ve done there. Quite sure you would be happy with the service

Larry Uhl @ Vance Outdoors. He knows his reels and is a standup guy.

Steve at Old Dutchman. Judy outsources to him. They have fixed my reels for 30+ years. Carbon drag upgrade is like $6 for labor...Steve just did a couple of Cold Water Line Counters for me. Seems like they are always working on something of mine. He picks up on the weekends and usually gets back to Judy by the following weekend.
