My wife and I spent most of last week down in the areas below the spill way fishing. Well all I can say was it was very poor. We saw very few fish caught and nothing that was had much size to it, even the white bass we not to be found. One thing we did notice was a total absent of baitfish; no minnows, ciscos, or shad we to be seen, even though there was plenty of green moss on the rocks in the water. That coupled with reletively low water (13.5' on avg.) madw fishing tough. Unless the baitfish show up soon and the water level rises, I see a weak fishing summer ahead. Our only guess on these conditions are poor spring weather caused either a late or poor spawn for all fish.
