Guess the early bite was the ticket. We fished Lorain yesterday too. Started about the time you quit and fished till about 1:00 I think before we bagged it. STRIKELESS ZILCH for the first time in a VERY long time!! Didn't see any nets out the entire time. Talked to a couple guys when we got in and pretty much same story as us.
We ran bandits anywhere from 15 - 100' back at various speeds of about 1.5 - 2.0. We started out probably 2 miles or so north and eventually ended over to the east in shallow water near Sheffield. The T-storms were looming off to the west the entire time so we didn't venture too far from the launch or to the west. Saw some good marks all through the water column, mostly higher. Seemed like they had lockjaw though. We're gonna try again this evening. We were already talking that we'd done pretty good off of the water works this time last year, and weather is looking much more stable today, so we'll definitely give that a whirl.

Went this morning only 2 quit at 10:00, wife’s birthday. Tried different colors, depths, and speeds. A lot of marks no takers. I wonder if approaching storms yesterday in the am got them going.
