fished 8-8. first 15 minutes my buddy raises a 44+in muskie three times. we couldn't hit alot of the spots iusually hit due to a bass tourney out there, but we still ended up with 40-45 bass with about 20 being smallies. biggest lg mouth was 19 and biggest smallie went 17. I did lose a giant smallie on the first jump, a 4 ft vertical leap. nearly all the bass came on shallow cranks and lippless cranks in 4ft of water.
Thanks for the tip last week or so JB. I picked up some 5" Senko's and my son and I caught some nice bass on them, an 18" Smallie for me and a 21" Largemouth by my son. Believe it or not while shore fishing from the Rt 85 breakwall the next day my son caught a 20" Largemouth on a Mepp's Muskie spinner, the kid had a good couple of days.
Dam Johnboy, if you guys did that good, I bet that was a nice turn-out for the weigh-in for that tourney. That sounds like a great day for anyone anywhere.
