Pyme Info request

Discussion in 'Northeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by normd, Jul 5, 2007.

  1. Buddy and I want to head to Pyme soon with his new 17.5 Alumacraft. We are from Toledo and have no clue what to expect in that part of the state. We are use to fishing Western Basin walleye and river fishing for smallies. I would appreciate any help you could provide on fishing Pyme. Thanks in advance.

It is a 9.9hp restricted lake as mentioned. You can have a bigger motor on the boat but it has to be raised and out of the water. Other than that it is a good musky lake. The crappie fishing is good and the perch get as big as Erie's jumbos. The walleye have become very difficult. Good luck.

find a stump and anchor on it and vertical jig small baits and you'll load the boat with nice panfish... try the 10-14ft depth

  8. First time fishing on a boat there. Went north of causeway on west side of lake. Found fish feeding on schools of minnows. Caught few perch and crappie and about 25 bass within about 2 hours using a rooster tail.
