These fights for public access are going to be all the rage. Outdoorsman should pay attention to these. Thanks fot the post.
Couldn't open the attachment but that's probably the Michigan supreme court ruling. It applies only to Michigan.
Ohio, being the backward state that it is, is trying to do the exact
opposite . Developers and landowners are trying to close public access to the Lake Erie shoreline by lobbying Columbus to get rid of the defination of the "high water mark".
It is great to walk or paddle along the beach or any other place, without any encumbrances. I think I do a pretty good job of leave no trace hiking, and camping.
Then again, most people dont just walk these areas. They pick up stuff, or worse yet leave stuff.
