Guys, I've never tried for Skips, is today (3/26/05) a possibility for any anywhere? I'm thinking of trying for some or even trying for some cats somewhere, so just throwing around ideas, heck maybe get lucky & do both.

Ive been catching skips all last week at the markland dam, 45 minutes west of cincinatti. Caught 30 over 16 inches on 1/8 oz white rooster tails. They were banging them just like white bass during the run! Outstanding fight for sure. Some of them weighed several ounds each. I imagine meldahl fishing might be good for them right now. Even though the water is till cold, they are chasing spinners fished pretty fast. Just remember the WATER HAS TO BE PRETTY CLEAR AS THESE FISH FEED BY SIGHT. Hope this helps.
