We left from Fenwick marina around 12 noon and headed about 6 miles out toward West sister island. There were about 100 boats out there about half trolling and half drifting. We caught about 7 or 8 GIANT sheephead with the largest weighing about 10 pounds. We also hit a couple of good sized white bass. The largest white bass was 16.5 in and will net me my first Fish Ohio award. We caught almost every specie but Walleye. We had night crawlers and was using Erie Dearie's and other artificials. Overall it was a slow day but being out on the water is great. The trollers were catching them on spoons in any color that had purple. Blueberry muffin was the color of choice for some chatter over the radio. The water was pretty calm by Erie's standards.
