My brother and I hit Acton this afternoon into the evening and only managed one hit during the 4 hours of fishing. The water was in the upper 70's and it looked to be at normal pool. We tried everything from jigs to cranks to buzzbait but nothing worked. Needless to say it was a very disappointing day of fishing especially since the weather has been so nice lately.

Does anyone have the "go to bait" to use there because my go to's did not produce for me today.

  2. the bass are mostly under the giant schools of shad eating whenever they like. very frustrating. I caught 2 slow rolling spinnerbaits on the bottom last week in 4 hours, it's tough this time of year...it seems that they just abandon the shallows, doesn't it? maybe try a fluke, senko, shakey head, or some other slow presentation that mimics a wounded or dying shad...or sleep in
