This is a little late, but last sat I hhit a pond after the thunderstorm and cold front had just moved through in the evening. I wasn't catching anything until I tied on a rattletrap and I caught 8 bass on it in a half hour. I have never seen it where the fish are biting that fast on one lure and won't touch anything else. I have had lures that outfish others, but normally if they are biting that good on something I can pick up at least one fish on another type of lure. I found that to be interesting and it boosted my confidence in ratteletraps, since I never done well on them. Only wish I would have tied it on sooner than I did.
