Pond Fishing

Discussion in 'Central Ohio Fishing Reports' started by Smallmouth Crazy, Jun 26, 2007.

  1. Took the family down to a pond that sits on family owned property in Ross County yesterday, wasnt the best of conditions, didnt start fishing until around noon(hard to get wife and daughter motivated;) ) water was low and somewhat stagnant Im assuming from the lack of rain we have suffered, between my son and I we managed 6 or 8 LM anywhere between 8-12", lots of gills around 6 or 7" and a lone crappie, fish were caught on minnies and crawlers, rain and impatient women folk ran us out shortly after 2, 3 or 4 giant anthills made fishing our favorite spots around the pond a itchy scratchy pain in the rump:eek: I think we would have done slightly better had we started fishing at least by 8 or 9(women and there primping;) ) the highlight for my daughter was seeing a deer and a fox while we were down there, I was excited to see the fox myself.
