Came across this article and thought it might interest some. I thought it strange on a couple fronts. First is the issue of the EPA trying to reduce algae blooms but in this case allowing a daily flow of 500.000 gallons of ammonia nitrate tainted water. Second odd thing is not far from Mud Creek is Meander Creek Reservoir. Which is off limits to recreational activities for the sake of clean water, as it's used for a counties drinking water. I'm pro business/jobs but in this case it seems like an odd allowance.

Very little information in that article, no parameters. I guess it's just a public hearing notice, I couldn't even offer an opinion from that. I would think it would be ok in some instances, they are probably taking the water from the stream too.
