Pleasant hill bait shops?

Discussion in 'Northwest Ohio Fishing Reports' started by mojo, May 11, 2004.

  1. i think i might darg my kayak out there tomorrow and was wondering if there is a place i can get some shiners at. i've never been there so any advice would also be welcomed.
  2. There is a bait shop at the entrance to the public boat launch off rte. 95.

  3. The one at the entrance road to the boat ramps is called Big Pines. They're closed on Monday's,and they don't open real early normally. There's one a couple miles up the road from there in Perrysville called The Crossroads. It's sits right at the intersection of Rt.95 and Rt.39.They open around 6:00AM,and they have minnows.
By the way,I've fished P.Hill the last two days, and I've caught literally dozens of saugeye's both days, and quite a few large crappies. The majority of the saugeye's have been rather small 12"-15".I'm catching both saugeye's and crappies on 3" Berkley power grubs,in the half green/half orange color.I'll be down there again in the morning, hope to nail a couple big eyes'.
