A couple highlights from an hours fishing this evening.

Priviledged access private property! LOL. I caught a couple more small saugers and a bunch of smaller 10-14" bass, both smallies and spots and a couple rock bass and warmouth. They were absolutley on fire and we had a blast.

Is that actually a Sauger?? it looks to have some different colors to it, if so that's a nice one, I didn't think they got to big.

I'm pretty sure it's a sauger. No saugeye stocked down that way, but its possible they've came down the Scioto and up this tributary. Dad says he always caught saugers in this creek back in the 60's and that was before the saugeyes, I believe. I've never counted the spines in the anal fin to verify.

It looks like a Sauger just from the colorings, I cant swear to this as I haven't looked at the regs recently but I thought a FO Sauger was only like 16 or maybe 18" tops.

Just looked it up and a fish Ohio sauger is only 16". This one was probably right at that. I need to start carrying a tape measure and scale.

It's a sauger. My only FO (so far) this year was a 16 incher...
