There is a lake in my area with tons of pike. I caught a few yesterday bass fishing. What is the best way/place to target pike. Would you suggest live or artificial baits? Will the fish be on the steep drop-offs? ETC. Thank you in advance for all of your help!

    Have a GREAT day,

Pike enjoy lots of cover, weed beds are best. Stick baits, long crank baits, and inline spinners (the bigger the better) retreived quickly. Large shinners if your fishing live bait.
They seem to hang near shore alot, My best results, when looking for pike, come from trolling about 20 feet off shore, following the shore-line. Use inline spinners (bright colors) tipped with a minnow. Don't use rod holders! Keep rod in hand, moving forward and dropping back, don't rest rod against boat.
    good luck
