I used to live in Belmont County, and Piedmont was my "home lake". I caught my first musky there, and have not fished that lake for muskies since (Leesville is an obvious reason why). I am returning to my homeland next month with a couple friends to try casting. Any input on early season lure choices/colors for Piedmont ?
I know orange was the ticket while I was a lowly bass fisherman (;) ) in the 80's. Does the orange pattern still hold true ?
My attack plan as of right now is a black/orange bucktail and a shad colored glider.

  2. I heard orange is the ticket early ... I also heard guys getting them on pink at Piedmont... "Ohio's most beautiful lake"

I don't own any pink lures....as far as anyone knows :p

I do have an orange heavily modified Reef Hawg that a musky veteran gave me a couple years ago. He referred to it as the "Piedmont Special"

How does the shotgun slug factor in? Or is that part of the "modification"?:D
