Piedmont Ice

Discussion in 'Southeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by The Big Fisherman, Mar 11, 2005.

  1. Any one been down by the lake? Just wondering what the ice info was. Ready to get the boat in the water. If old man winter would just give us a break maybe we could get some fishin' done! Let me know if any body been out yet and if they have done any good. Thanks

There have been boats on Piedmont for over a week now. I haven't heard any really good reports though. I'm heading down again this coming week.

I was on Piedmont last Saturday..it was terribly slow for the Saugeyes.
I was skunked for the first time in years for Eyes, but did manage a teenage Muskie to save the day :D
Tons of small Shad survived the winterkill.I think the Eyes are stuffed!

  4. It always seems that plenty of shad survive. I don't think the saugeyes as well as any other fish have to look very far for their next meal. Sometimes that can make it tough on us!

It's a good thing those shad are in there to keep some of the fish full, cuz you pro guys that fish there would wipe out the population! :p :D
