Hi everyone. Went to piedmont today at 6:30. It was cold and we didnt think we would catch anything. We were wrong! The first cast we caught a nice saugeye. It was about 16 inches long and weighed about 4 pounds. After that we trolled in the same place and caught 10 keeper saugeyes, about 17 small saugeyes, and a 18 inch channel cat that weighed about 7 pounds. We got to take a nice stringer home full of fish. We lost a lot of lures from snags though. We fished till 5:30 and left because we were out of bait. Good luck to all.

you got a 16 incher that weighed 4lbs ??? What kind of scale are you using ? Glad to hear you had a good day!
Went out to Piedmont this evening with my dad, nephew, and daughter. Couple small bass, couple tiny eyes, and one baby musky. Had lots of fun though. All fish caught were very tight to cover. Yama plastics took the bass. RS Shadrap took the toothies. Wanted to try the fly rod out there today but the water was up and murky (at least on the Reynolds Rd end of the lake).
Heck with this bait fishing. I'm going to Leesville tomorrow :D :D :D
if anyone is gonna be out there, look for an old BassTracker II (w/Evinrude) and say hello!
