Anyone fished it lately?? I want to hit it up sometime this week.
Spoke to a Game Warden on Sat in Chillcothee and he said the spillway was unfishable due to the outflow.
Alright thanks Mellon for the info. I might have to go out to the main lake instead i''d bet the crappies are biting if its not frozen
whats the pc spillway?
I fished it a couple of weeks ago before all of the rain with no luck. Looks like next week the water level should be going down if the forecast holds up. Traphunter, if you would be able to hit it sometime next week, send me a PM.
I will do that Porterhouse, cause I most likely will be going out.
I have had very good luck on the crappie up at the main lake this time of year when the spillway is not fishable.
However, once the crappie start biting the words spreads pretty fast, and it can get just as crowded as the spillway.
Here is a site where you can check the outflow at pc spillway as well as many other spillways. The best fishing at pc is when the outflow is between 300 and 900 cfm. http://www.lrh-wc.usace.army.mil/wc/summary.html
yeah thanks for the link I forgot what it was. It almost 4000cfs now. It can be fished higher then 1000cfs you just have to wade your way to the other side to where the dead water usually is.
