painting fiberglass ?

    just got a tri hall and want to paint the fiber glass i havent really delt with it before and i know a few guys here have

    soooooo

    what do i do to prep the surface
    what kind of paint
    the top is geting painted some of he floor in the front so people will be walking on it

    leaving the sides white

    As with any paint job, good results come from the prep work. If the boat has been painted previously, you'll need to sand/scrape off all old paint for best results. You need a nice smooth surface, fill any cracks repair bad spots etc. When you think you're done sanding...sand some more.:D

    As I understand it, there are several brands of ATW (above the water) paint and BTW (below the water paint). Many guys prefer either Interlux or Awlgrip.
