My son has a AMS fish hawk bow. He painted it green with some rustolum(sp) neon green paint(spray on). The bow looked great. But it seems that the paint was chipping off easy and coming off. I thought it might of been that he didn't clean it well before painting, but he sanded it a bit and we did it all over again with the same results. I was wondering what everyone else used to paint a bow with. I was looking into epoxy paint or even getting it painted with paint that needed to be baked on to make it tougher. All suggestions welcome.

    Did he prime it first?

The bow riser is alum. and he did primer it first. I decided to go with powder coating. It will be striped to bare metal, primed, then powder applied, then baked. It will look great when we get it back.

That should turn out awesome. I picked up a Impala for Brad the other day.
