Im am a little late ont this but oh well. Went to paint creek for the first time this year on thurs. Was fishing the creek a few hundred yards down from the spillway. Water was a little low (but i dout it is now) and there were not many people around. Caught 6 bluegill, 2 saugeye, 2 largmouth, and one channel. But there were three of us fishing so it wasnt a great day. The really bad news is that the gills were the largest out of the bunch. But they were very nice gills. I could have caught the bass and eyes in my minnow trap. But a fish on the hook is a fish on the hook. It was a nice day and a good time. Some guy down the creek from us was pull out carp like crazy. He left about a half hour after we got there, but i saw him catch 6. They were from 5-10 pounds.
