Put in at 3:00 pm. Beautiful day, very few "pleasure boaters", water clarity about 2 feet, temp 87. Fished the dam-end of the lake, around to the left in the big cove. Also fished SW shoreline down main lake. Caught largemouths on black plastic worms (4" slider worms and heads) in both areas. Night fished for Cats with chicken liver-in-cheesecloth and worms. Worms worked for a nice catch, they played with the liver but none landed on it. Lake is in very good shape for fishing, best water level and clarity I've seen there in two years.

    Good Fishing !

  2. I'm glad to hear that you had a good time at PC. Given the temp this last weekend, I'm surprised that you report "very few pleasure boaters". I camped at Deer Creek this weekend and it was thick with them. Did you catch any crappie in the cove by the dam? If so, how deep were they?

Actually, we didn't fish for any crappie ... it was a "Bass - Only" day !! I'll drop a few lines next time and let you know, we may be there Wed or Sat.
