Fished Oxbow yesterday. First 2 hours fished many different colors of plastic worms that usually work there and some new ones and threw a crankbait for a little bit and not one bite. Most of the lake didn't even have a ripple on it. So I started to throw a topwater bait and about my 5th cast caught a little bass. In the next 1/2 hour I had caught 5. Went inside of the creek channel and started to throw a little purple and chartreuse twister tail, right away I caught about a 5 in yellow pearch and I didn't even know that there were pearch in there. The bass stopped hitting the top water and caught 2 more bass and 2 crappie on the twister tail. They have a slot limit at Oxbow to try to increase the chances for trophy bass. I believe that you can't keep anything between 14" and 20". I don't eat fish so I didn't keep any but I'm all for it.
