  1. I just learned that osprey lake is now a free pond. For years all i could rember it being is a pay lake and a really junky one at that. Anyone have any insight on what its like there now the parks have taken it over?

It's been open for at least a few years now. It's a good looking lake, clear with lots of structure and pretty deep in a lot of places. Accessible pretty much all the way around.

From what I can tell it stays fairly busy.

    Good luck!

  3. Don't waste your time. It is a place to take take small children. I haven't caught anything but little bait stealers. The park system stocked it at one time, but it is totally overfished.
  4. It is at the intersection of Route 665 and Norton Rd. Across from Trapper John's canoe rental in Darbydale.
