Open water this weekend?

    Hey everyone, as you might know I'm somewhat of a die-hard fisherman, but I really haven't had the time to get out lately... stupid school >.< anyway, I don't ice fish, and was hoping to get out either with a fly rod or bait and get some saugeye or steelhead or trout or whatever I can get a hook into :)

    Any idea where I should find open water? Deer creek spillway? alum spillway? Hoover? Indian? Anywhere?! I'm dying for some fish action here, haven't caught one since november :(

    There were a couple posts saying there was some open water at Deer Creek. Might want to confirm that before going all the way down there though.

  3. Try Mad river @ Urbana for trout or Deer Creek spillway for saugeyes. There was a post eariler this week about Deer Creek. The odnr has a map of access points for the mad. Panther martin spinners #2 yellow red dot silver blade, worms , or minnows will catch trout. Small twister tails , hot pink, white or chartuse for the saugeyes. Good luck :B
