might help if ya listed what body of water your referring to...........
but my guess is Portage lakes...... I dont use the old state park ramps (if i can help it) just because of the reasons you listed... no lighting either (if i remember right). Fun trying to find those slabs in pitch black and fog... whatta joke!
those rest rooms over there are nasty, frogs and insect
infested but those ramps get busy, man.those have
to be(with the exception of the new state park ramp)
the busiest ramps in the all of the portage lakes.
and not to mention there is no room to really move
when its busy.complete bottle neck over there.
since we are on the topic of the PL state parks.
dose anybody know if your aloud to fish all night.
the signs say ''park closes at 11pm''but places
like west branch say the the same thing and 24hr
fishing is authorized.i know the New park off 93
has a gate at the entrance,is it closed at 11pm?
the old park has no gates that i know of,but has the
signs.the lakes got to have a 24hr ramp at,at least
one park?anyone know the deal?
I know my club has a night tourny out there and you need to get a permit from the state to hold a tourny in a state park. There is no restrictions on the water except no wake even in the speed zones. I've pulled my boat out of the water at 3am with a ranger in the parking lot at the old ramp and he didn't say a word to me. I think they just don't want people screwing around. You know teens in the back seat or any drug or illegal problems so they keep everyone without a boat out.
