  2. I had a 9.9 that i got real cheap but it was in pieces-every nut and bolt removed. I thought over time I could put it together-NADA. I took it over to ADAMS Marine just north of youngstown. Gaylord was the most honest dependable mechanic I have ever met. I had it all put together and runs great. He replaced anything he thought looked worn too bad or might cause a problem, but asked me first. Iwould take to him although I don't have any idea where richmond is.

  3. I think you should be able to find something on the powerhead.

Is it an Evinrude or an Elto (Evinrude lite twin outboard)? Evinrude stamped on the top of the flywheel? Post a pic or a serial #, I ,ll tell ya' exactley what it is! :) You might have a pre-war model that is collectable. LakeRaider

That would be a 1945-1946 -5.4 hp. Zephyr. 4 cylinders and they are real smooth running motors. I have several. The aluminum polishs up real nice on those. I have a twist throttle model that has cruise control and remote shift. A cool option. Those were very reliable motas'. :) Raider
