    Hey All,
Fished the mouth of the Licking River Sunday morning in Newport from 7.30 to 11.30. We tried everything (except moving spots  ) and only got one run on a big creek minnow. We tried live minnows, live bluegills, crawlers, corn, liver and skipjack...but no more bites. I was able to introduce my 7 yr old son to a Sabiki rig...haha He had a pretty good time slinging that rig out & catching 2 or 3 little guys (3-5") at a time. Nice morning, nice view...we had a good if we can only catch some cats next time.

Someone told me the Covington side is better to fish....anyone have any opinions?

Can anyone provide some tips or pointers? I'd like to make our next trip more productive.

I want to try the Licking for bass but have never fished it before. Anybody have any suggestions? PM me if you prefer.
    Any help is appreciated!
